This insures that we can maintain total control of your project. This professional efficiency provides all of our clients with the peace of mind that their identification and advertising signage will provide many years of use and a very real return on their investment dollar. Located on 2½ acres, our offices and production plant are located in the same building - an all masonry structure housing 21,000 square feet of production area. An additional 10,000 square feet of uncovered finished concrete area adjacent to the east elevation of the building is utilized for large structure fabrication during the majority of the year. Reynolds Sign is an authorized UL manufacturing facility and all aspects of our operation are OSHA designed and equipped. Two state-of-the-art full ventilation OSHA approved spray booths are used, one for large displays and the other for smaller signs and letters.

Services
Reynolds Sign is a full service in-house sign company, capable of handling all aspects of the project at hand – from design to finished project. The following sections are presented in a logical sequence of events that would normally take place during the typical display fabrication time span of any one project, regardless of geographical location.
|
|
| |
- SITE INVESTIGATION
Contact city to obtain written sign ordinance information, including sign inspection personnel and telephone numbers, to determine all applicable sign regulations for that location including zoning classification. Contact developer, if applicable, to determine their site sign codes and/or restrictions. Perform on-site inspection by Reynolds personnel or approved survey agent to obtain photos, detailed specifications of any existing buildings and/or signs, site lines, and become aware of any obstructions to visibility.
Benefit - complete survey documentation and site familiarity
|
|
| |
- DESIGN
All survey material, including applicable sign code requirements, are then submitted to our design department where all displays are designed to fit location demands by our award winning staff. All design activities are done via computer using the latest versions of various software packages designed expressly for the sign and construction industry.
Benefit - award winning design staff thoroughly knowledgeable in the field of sign construction and design

| |
- ENGINEERING
Each display is carefully reviewed and then engineered as necessary to meet the installation requirements of each sign at each location. Complete specifications regarding component sizes, types, and part numbers are supplied for plant fabrication and maintenance identification. All electrical components, wire ways, wiring, sockets, lamps, neon tubing, etc. are called out and designed to meet UL requirements. Our in-house engineering department provides all structural engineering, including, but not limited to, foundation size and materials, structural components, and concrete specifications. Registered engineering seals, if required, can then be affixed as necessary by state certified engineers.
Benefit - our in-house engineering staff
|
|
| |
- ESTIMATING
Our in-house computerized estimating department provides a complete price package, which includes materials and labor hours for fabrication and installation, as well as crating and shipping if applicable. A bill of materials is compiled during the estimating process and presented to purchasing for acquisition of all required materials and components. Company policy requires that unusual or highly complicated projects are to be discussed with members of Research & Development staff, comprised of design, engineering, estimating, plant, and installation personnel. This insures that all elements of the project have been thoroughly investigated before the estimating process has been completed.
Benefit - total understanding of the project at hand

|
| |
- PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Our in-house project management team includes personnel familiar with all aspects of the industry. These people are in place to coordinate all functions of the project and to insure that the necessary paperwork is handled efficiently and in an organized manner. Upon receipt of the project from the client, and after all initial procedures are set in place by the salesperson, the department head assigns one person to the project. It is the responsibility of that person to follow the signage from the time it is inserted into the system until it has been installed and all invoices have been paid and project monies received. These people generally do not converse with the client, but instead act as the “behind-the-scenes” support effort. Daily or periodic conversations regarding the status of a particular project are conducted with the salesperson.
- In the case of multiple location projects, custom designed Weekly Project Status Reports are designed and made an integral part of the program. This information, provided to selected client personnel, includes project location, work order number, type of signs being fabricated, order entry date, ship date, installation date, and installation agent. Also included are the time line dates of permit submittals, permit acquisition, landlord approvals, production start, production completion, and shipping information.
Benefit - all aspects of the project handled by Reynolds Sign with periodic written Project Status Reports submitted to client personnel

- PERMITS
Sign permits are now required in almost every town and city. The time frame for review and issuance and degree of paperwork complexity vary depending upon the installation location and municipality. A general rule is to allow a minimum of a week to ten days from time of submittal to issuance, but in some cases, this can be a much longer period of time. Reynolds Sign has a skilled and experienced permit staff that provides the necessary paperwork and tracks the progress of each permit. In some cases, a variance request and formal hearing are required in order to obtain the required permits. In those cases, Reynolds personnel will provide all necessary submittals and attend required meetings in association with, or on behalf of, our clients.
Benefit – professional skilled assistance to deal with city sign permitting issues
|
|
| |
- COMPUTERIZATION
Almost all operations of Reynolds Sign are computerized including order entry, scheduling, status reports, production reports, design (CAD), and many areas of the manufacturing (CAM) process including routers and channel letters.
Benefit - complete precise control of manufacturing processes

- FABRICATION
Our fabrication facility provides over 21,000 square feet of under roof capacity with an additional outside concreted surface of over 10,000 square feet which is used most of the year for heavy steel fabrication. Production plant lead employees have been with the company for many years and are all skilled craftsman. Most are able to build all types of displays from scratch without engineered drawings and shop details. While we do not build displays without proper dedicated drawings and specifications, it is important that our lead people are able to do so because they can instantly understand what the requirements are of any sign that they build, thereby saving time and building a better product. A weekly production meeting is held each Monday morning for all sales people and project managers in association with design, engineering, estimating, and production personnel including the plant manager and assistant manager. Production Department meetings are held by plant management with department heads several times during the week.
Benefit - constant communication between all parties to insure “no surprises”

- SHIPMENT
In the cases where final project locations are out of the Dallas/Fort Worth immediate area for local installation, all displays are prepared for crating and shipment to the authorized installation agent. Each display is carefully crated to rigid DOT specifications and use carpet and/or bubble wrap to protect all surfaces and neon from shipment damage. Reynolds Sign has our own trucks and trailers that are used for shipping and in cases where distance or time requires other transportation methods, all carriers are licensed and bonded for the work at hand.
Benefit - Complete knowledge of transportation requirements using in-house crating and shipping department

|
| |
- INSTALLATION
- Reynolds Sign has a fleet of new trucks and trailers outfitted with new cranes and installation equipment that are licensed, bonded, and insured to meet all DOT, state, and local laws and regulations. Installation employees are uniformed and experienced in the art of installation and maintenance for all types of sign displays. Each truck is fully equipped with all necessary installation tools and equipment including all required OSHA safety items.
- Installation companies located out of our area are selected through our International Sign Association or Texas Sign Association affiliation. In those areas where member companies are not located, installation companies are selected by inquiries to other ISA or TSA members having had experience with companies in that particular area. In all cases, installation companies must be licensed, bonded, insured and capable of doing the task at hand. No monies are paid to installation company until project has been completed to the satisfaction of client.
Benefit - total control of installation process and installation agents

|
| |
- COMPLETION
After each project is completed a finalized invoice package is prepared and sent to each client. In this package are completion photos, project approval signatures by client personnel, copies of applicable permits and landlord approval documents, and the final invoice with copies of the purchase order or contract for reference.
Benefit - complete documentation of project for your files that can be used for future reference
